Pontifical Mass for the Feast of St. Gregory the Great

September 2, 2016 @ 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm

Our Feast of Title and Dedication will begin the three-day Episcopal Visitation of our newly-Consecrated Bishop, Steven J. Lopes, who will be Celebrant at a Pontifical Mass in the Divine Worship form of the Roman Rite, further beautified by Palestrina’s glorious and rarely-heard six-voice Missa Tu Es Petrus (those who attended our Patronal Feast last year will remember just how beautiful this work is; Pope Benedict used the Motet on which it is based, also by Palestrina, for the last music heard at his last public Mass).

It will be at St Andrew’s Church in Billerica, Massachusetts:

  • From the South, exit Route 3 at Treble Cove Road
  • From the West and North, exit Route 3 at Route 129
  • From the Northeast, exit Route 495 at Woburn Street

Proceed to 45 Talbot Avenue, North Billerica, MA 01862

PLEASE NOTE: Saint Andrew’s is smaller than Saint Patrick’s upper church, and seats about 400. Please come early to ensure you will be seated.

A reception will follow in the hall under the church.
